GENERAL NEWS: ICOMM Week, NAC meeting, Links

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

ICOMM week is here! All of the wonderful plans from Pat Feehan and Bonnie Drewniany and team are coming to fruition this week. Details and schedule of events are at http://www.sc.edu/cmcis/news/archive/icomm08/icomm08_schedule.html. On Friday April 4, we will have a joint meeting of our National Advisory Council and the Partnership Board from Journalism. Let me know if you items for the Council and I will carry them forward.

I hope many of you will be able to join us. Such great programs and opportunities to visit and learn! Please try to make the storytelling party and celebration on Friday evening at the Arnold School of Public Health. A good time is guaranteed!

I met our good friend Tom Abbott from Maine this week and was so pleased that he could come to the Spring Fling at my house on Friday. If you missed the Fling. . .well, try to make the Fall Fling!

The last LISSA Colloquium for the semester was last week. What a wonderful series of excellent speakers! Travis Ferrell and his team did a great job of planning the intriguing sessions. Each session was recorded and presented on Breeze Live. The archive is at http://students.libsci.sc.edu/lissa/presentations.html and I encourage you to take advantage of these great resources. Thanks to Dr. Tu and Patrick McLaughlin also for their good work and great ideas!

Here are some good links to keep you going! Will send more soon. In the meantime, are you in Facebook?
