GENERAL UPDATE: Winter at Davis College and welcoming in a New Year!

Dear Friends and Colleagues, (From December 18th, 2009)

Our weather is frightful! Sleet, cold, wet -- and when I was talking with one of Virginia students this morning, she said it was snowing! Must be time to head South ;-} I’m looking forward to a break with foggy mornings and my toes in the sand. I hope you have some holiday plans that make you smile.

Everything is good here at Davis College. We had a wonderful graduation ceremony with many happy graduates and proud families. It is so rewarding to see our students finished and ready to change the world!

We are ready to bring in a new year with new challenges and opportunities. We remain grateful for our friends and each of you that support our projects and desires to eliminate illiteracy. We also appreciate all of the help to increase our scholarship funds. If you made a donation for one of the prints of Davis College – THANK YOU! If you want one of these beautiful prints, please go to http://www.libsci.sc.edu/print.html.

So happy holidays to you and yours! If you want to have some fun, check out the Reading Rooster on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/scstatelibrary#p/a/u/1/7AgqupoSBzk. Also, check out the following five things to read and think about:
